Amusement parks, water attractions and unforgettable adventures — Dubai is a great place to take kids to.
One of the main attractions of the Dubai Mall is the giant Dubai Aquarium at the ground floor, home to more than 33,000 aquatic animals, including the world’s largest collection of sand tiger sharks. You can watch fish in the Aquarium from the mall for free, or buy a ticket to get inside the aquarium tunnels and to the zoo (from 105 AED). Meet the penguins, the King Croc (a 750 kg alligator), and other species, ride a glass-bottom boat or even dive with the sand tiger sharks if you dare.
An experimental play area where kids have fun and boost their ingenuity, creativity and curiosity at the same time. There are 8 galleries (Air, Water, Toshi’s Net, Creative Lab, Future Park, Fort Building, Toddler Gallery and Cars & Ramps) designed for kids from 2 to 11.
At Air and Water kids learn some physics in a fun way, at Creative Lab they are encouraged to construct robots, vehicles or whatever they want and The Toshi's Net is a giant macramé interactive sculpture by Japanese textile artist, Toshiko Horiuchi MacAdam. The reviews by 4-year-old art critics are glowing (so are the reviews of the whole experience).
Entry fee: 120 AED for 2 hours, 150 AED for 3 hours for children; half-price for toddlers; free entry for babies; 40 AED for adults.
The largest indoor amusement park in the world (140,000 m2) can welcome more than 20,000 guests a day. There are Cartoon Network and Marvel zones and Lost Valley — a Dinosaur Adventure zone with animatronic prehistoric animals and roller coasters. One of the particularly popular attractions is The Haunted Hotel with spooky mazes.
Tickets (240-465 AED) can be bought online to avoid lines.
