Adventure Time

Being in Dubai is like suddenly finding yourself in a movie. It could be a James Bond movie, or a fantasy movie, or a superheroes story or some kind of a wacky cartoon about skiing in a desert. Any movie you like.

If you do not want to deal with lines and crowds at popular family destinations, keep in mind that Sunday is a working day in the UAE and Friday is a holiday.

Attractions / Amusement parks

The largest indoor amusement park in the world (140,000 m2) can welcome more than 20,000 guests a day. There are Cartoon Network and Marvel zones and Lost Valley — a Dinosaur Adventure zone with animatronic prehistoric animals and roller coasters. One of the particularly popular attractions is The Haunted Hotel with spooky mazes.

Tickets (240-465 AED) can be bought online to avoid lines.

Named “The Best Waterpark in the Middle East 2015” by TripAdvisor, Aquaventure is the largest in the Middle East and one of the most beautiful: with myth-styled attractions and lush tropical greenery, set on an apex of Palm Jumeirah island by the Atlantis hotel. The pure adrenaline moment is riding the near-28 metres, near vertical Leap of Faith slide. However some people find Poseidon's Revenge scarier. An all-day ticket costs 275 AED for adults and 225 AED for children. You can save some money by booking online.
