Review - December 13, 2024
I recently took my cat in for neutering at this clinic, and it was a deeply upsetting experience. They informed us that there would be a blood test before the surgery to check her vitals, which I agreed to, but from there, things quickly went downhill.
The handling of my cat was disturbing from the start. The staff member who was supposed to carry her from the carrier clearly lacked experience with animals. He handled her as though she were an inanimate object, not showing any care or comfort. I tried to overlook it, assuming they were professionals, but things got worse. He placed her on the weighing scale and then physically pushed her down, causing unnecessary stress.
The vet then asked us to bring her in for the examination, and this is where it got even more concerning. My cat was clearly anxious and exhausted by this point. I had to step in and hold her myself to ensure she wasn’t further agitated. Even the vet seemed uncomfortable handling her—struggling to check her ears, which shouldn’t have been difficult with a small, 3kg cat.
The situation continued to deteriorate when it came time to check her teeth. The handler again showed a lack of skill, and when he tried to inspect her mouth, he didn’t hold her properly. She ended up jumping off the table, and he failed to catch her, causing her to fall.
However, the most horrifying part came when they told me it was time for the blood test. They requested that owners wait outside for "just 2 minutes" as per their policy. I agreed, but after about five minutes, I heard loud noises and my cat's distressing hiss and scream for the first time in my life. Panicked, I rushed back inside and found the handler forcibly holding her by the back of her head, trying to draw blood. The sight of my cat in distress was unbearable, and I immediately told them I was taking her home.
The moment I brought her carrier in front of her, she jumped in as if escaping from torment. It was heartbreaking to see how much she had suffered in just a short time.
I’m sharing this detailed experience so that others are aware of the poor handling and unprofessionalism at this clinic. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to reconsider taking their beloved pets here. They clearly lack the skill and compassion needed for animal care.
