The worst experience we faced in last 10 years that I'm in Dubai. I always visit burdubai and deira for getting spices and dates and its quite normal to taste dates in these shops before buying. Rather the shopkeepers themselves urge to taste the nuts and dates. In this very particular shop, I walked in with my family to get some dates and picked up 2 dates to taste. But I mom dint like it somehow and we were about to come out. That moment, the guy there stopped us and asked for 5 dirhams! Come on!!! 5 dirhams for 2 dates????? When u get 1 kg for 40 dirhams! First of all, I have been never charged like this and even so, 5 dirhams for 2 dates is unbelievable. When we confronted him, he started behaving rudely and went to the extent of thrusting the change inside my husband's hoodie collar which we refused to accept...shocked and pathetic.
