We travelled from Trinidad and Tobago in the month of March 2025 to Dubai. We were taken to the spice store where we were introduced to different herbs and spices. We were eager to buy and so some of us ordered stuff. When it was time to pay, a calculator was used behind the counter to give us the total. There wasnt a cash register bill. When asked the equivalent to US dollars it was way higher than what our cards had for (3) 8oz items. When we returned to our hotel and home the following week we realized that we were robbed of hundreds of us dollars for 8 oz packets. In some cases cards began declining. This was very hurtful for had earned monies. However, we are filing a complaint against this store.

ATTENTION - DO NOT ENTER THIS STORE!!!!!! On entering the shop we were given very good advice and were delighted with the selection of spices and fruits. When we decided to buy a little, we were charged prices that were fraudulent. For two small tins of tea and a few pieces of dates, over 1,700 UAE were charged by ATM card. Unfortunately, I realised this too late as I didn't have a conversion calculator with me. The sellers claim that saffron is in all teas and that is how the price is arrived at, which is simply a lie. Please be very careful here, this shop is a complete rip-off!
