I purchased what was supposed to be a healthy 1.5-year-old Maine Coon from this store. During my initial visit, they tried to sell him to me for 7,000 AED. When I returned three weeks later, the poor cat was still confined to a tiny cage. I offered 5,000 AED, and they accepted. I specifically asked if the cat was healthy and fully vaccinated, and I was assured he was. I received a vaccination booklet but was not given any proof of his birthdate or pedigree. Once I brought him home, I noticed he was shaking his head frequently, so I took him to the vet the very next day. I was shocked when the vet opened his mouth—his teeth were rotten, his gums were bleeding, and he was missing several teeth. He was also infested with fleas and had a severe ear mite infection. The vet provided an estimate of over 3,000 AED for tooth extraction, flea treatment, X-rays, and blood work. This store misled me and sold me a much older, very sick cat. I strongly advise against supporting this shop or any other pet shops in the Mina area, where animal cruelty and neglect appear to be common. The animals are not properly cared for and are clearly suffering.
