Australian restaurant and lounge Hunter & Barrel opened in Dubai’s Vida Emirates Hills in March, specialising in charcoal-roasted meats and veggies, plus barrel-aged craft beverages. The all-new restaurant comes from Sydney, with branches in Melbourne and Perth and is known for its “hunt, gather and fire”-style of cooking – so get ready for fire-grilled prawns, chicken wings, chargrilled chicken and kale salad, cured salmon fillet, and burgers. The meaty menu also boasts charcoal-roasted skewers, kebabs served with a hummus-tahini dip, short ribs, lamb cutlets and all the steak cuts you could imagine: fillet, rump, sirloin, rib-eye, a 1.3kg tomahawk (perfect for sharing – or scoffing to yourself – we’re not judging), T-bone and more. There are veggie-friendly dishes too including burrata, vegan burgers and more.
