My visit to Classic Gifts this morning resulted in one of the most unprofessional customer service encounters I have ever faced in Dubai. I requested a basic sound check for a Geepas Bluetooth speaker prior to purchase. Instead of providing assistance, a person who claimed to be the owner responded with unjustified hostility, disrespectful language, and unprofessional conduct.
When I questioned the reason for his behavior, he escalated the situation further. Security was called, and despite my attempts to explain clearly, they chose to support the staff member without assessing the situation objectively. The “owner” later attempted to justify his behavior by stating that I had rested my back lightly on the counter — a completely unreasonable explanation for such an aggressive reaction.
This incident caused unnecessary stress, disrupted my morning on UAE National Day, and reflects a serious failure in customer service standards. I strongly urge Classic Gifts management to thoroughly investigate the conduct, training, and suitability of the individuals involved. If such behavior continues, the store risks damaging its reputation despite its prime location in Dubai.
