My name is Yusuf Zhandos. I am 34 years old and I am from Kazakhstan. Back in 2009, I was returning from Egypt. My route was Alexandria → Sharjah → Almaty. Unfortunately, we missed our flight to Almaty, so we were detained at Sharjah Airport and accommodated in the airport transit hotel. During one of those days, my friend and I went to a mosque near the airport. I remember that was Al Salaf Al Saleh mosque. After the prayer, we were very hungry, as we were barely being provided with food at the airport. We were standing outside, hoping that someone might help us with food. At that moment, a local Emirati man, 40-46 years old, who regularly prayed in that mosque, noticed us. We spoke to him and got acquainted. He turned out to be an extremely kind and noble person. He promised that once he had free time in the coming days, he would show us Sharjah and Dubai — and he truly kept his word. He showed us many beautiful places in Sharjah and Dubai and treated us to delicious meals at restaurants in his city. I clearly remember that he was driving a Toyota Corolla (around 2006–2007 model), beige or brown in color. Later, he invited us to his home. He had a beautiful two-storey house, and I distinctly remember seeing a dark-colored Hummer H2 limousine, completely covered in dust, parked outside his house. At his home, he gifted us traditional Arab clothing, as well as Islamic cassette recordings of Friday sermons, and many other things. He wrote down our contact details and saved them. Sadly, when I returned to my country, our belongings and phones were confiscated at the airport, and because of that, I completely lost contact with him. He was a handsome, polite Sheikh, incredibly kind and generous toward us. In Dubai, he even sing nasheeds and poems about Palestine for us. He told us that if we ever needed help, we should call or write to him, and he would definitely help us. Many years have passed since then. I am asking for help.
