Misdiagnosis, Costly Failure, and Warning About Fake Reviews I brought my car to Al Jasim Garage because it had a critical and dangerous fault: it would stall without warning, failing to restart for 20-30 minutes. I chose this garage based on the positive reviews I now strongly believe are fabricated by the garage itself. Before I agreed to any work, I specifically informed the garage of my difficult financial situation, being jobless for three months, and requested their help with a fair resolution. The Initial Repair and Overcharge: The garage diagnosed the issue as the engine manifold and intake pipe, assuring me that this repair would solve the starting failure. They provided a quote totaling AED 1874, which included an unreasonable price of AED 1400 for a used intake manifold. Despite the high cost, I proceeded based on their guarantee that the car would be fixed. The Immediate Failure and Betrayal: Three days later, I collected the car. Tragically, within one hour of leaving the garage, the car stalled and broke down again with the exact same issue. The AED 1874 repair was a total failure. Shifting Blame and New Costs: When I returned the car, they wasted time and then tried to send me away. I insisted on testing it right in front of the mechanic—it failed to start immediately. Only at this point did they change their story, diagnosing a new, separate issue: the starter. I am now faced with spending more money to fix the primary problem they were already paid to solve. When I confronted them about the initial misdiagnosis, they offered no apology, stating only that my car now has "a lot of issues they can't do anything about." This experience has been deeply frustrating and financially damaging. They failed to correctly diagnose a crucial safety issue, charged an exorbitant amount for a fix that didn't work, and demonstrated zero commitment to rectifying their mistake. I feel betrayed and taken advantage of during a vulnerable time, and I am certain their online reputation is manufactured. If you are looking for honest, competent work that lasts, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Do not be fooled by the high ratings.
