Disappointing Experience at Filly Chicken – Khalifa Street (June 5, Past 2 AM) On June 5, shortly after 2:00 AM, my family and I decided to have a late-night snack at Filly Chicken on Khalifa Street, a place we often visit and know. Since we live right next to the building, we are familiar with the restaurant’s usual operating hours. We chose to sit outside and placed our orders for food and drinks. However, while two members of our group were still eating, we were unexpectedly presented with the bill. Immediately after payment, the staff abruptly turned off the outdoor lights, leaving us in complete darkness—even though it was clear that not everyone had finished eating. This action felt extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. When we politely asked the staff why the lights were turned off, we were told that cleaning was scheduled at that time. Despite explaining that we were still eating, the staff insisted we continue in the dark. We had to repeatedly ask for the lights to be turned back on just so we could finish our meal properly. Although they eventually complied, a staff member continued to stare at the remaining diner, making the experience even more uncomfortable. What’s most disappointing is the lack of basic courtesy and communication. If outdoor cleaning was scheduled during operating hours, the staff should have informed us before accepting our order and offered an alternative seating option indoors. Instead, we were made to feel unwelcome and rushed—despite being paying customers well within business hours. This experience left us feeling not only disappointed but also disrespected. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to ensure future customers are treated with the dignity and consideration they deserve.
