This Dam is the oldest water installation in Abu Dhabi recent history, was constructed by Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan on 11 Jumada 2nd 1374 (4 February 1955). It was discovered and restored by the Department of Antiquities and Tourism in 2004.
