Constructed out of the vision of late President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to create a structure that will link Islamic world cultural diversity with ancient and modern architecture, the mosque took 12 years to complete – the result is the very spectacular and inspiring Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
The breath taking Mosque holds several world records including the largest hand woven carpet made by more than 1000 carpet knotters.
